Four weeks a year, Judd Street hosts homeless families that awaiting permanent low-income housing through the Family Promise organization. We provide them with sleeping quarters, serve breakfast and dinner, and fellowship in the evenings. Our church members and friends volunteer to cook, host, serve and set up/break down.
River of Life:
Four Wednesdays during the year, Judd Street cooks a dinner meal to be served at the River of Life Mission in Chinatown. Our members and friends come together to prepare and serve the meal, and fellowship with the patrons of the mission.
Annual Luau Fundraiser:
Judd Street hosts a take-out luau. The proceeds from the luau ticket sales are shared with two designated beneficiaries.
Several times a year our Membership Committee recruits a group of volunteers to visit with and deliver care packages to our older members who can no longer attend the Sunday service. These visitations are an opportunity to show our Kapuna that they are still a valued member of our church family.
